President Trump is expected to name Wall Street financier and longtime supporters Anthony Scaramucci as his new White House communications director, according to multiple reports.
Trump has offered the job to Scaramucci and he has accepted it, ABC News reported. Reuters also reported the president offered him the post.
Reporters spotted Scaramucci and White House chief of staff Reince Priebus gather in White House press secretary Sean Spicer’s office for a meeting of the communications team.
Scaramucci would replace Mike Dubke, who resigned from the post in May. Spicer has been handling Dubke’s duties in the interim.
He joining a White House staff that has been beaten down over the widening probe into whether any Trump associated colluded with Russia in its election-meddling effort.
